Engine 4
Engine 4 is 2010 Pierce Velocity Pumper with 2000 gallon per minute single stage pump, 750 gallon water tank and 50 gallon class B foam cell. This engine is equipped with a foam system which allows for the use of firefighting foam on flammable liquid fires. In addition to the standard hoses and nozzles carried by all the BHFD engines, Engine 4 has a 1500 gallon per minute monitor mounted above the pump panel for large scale fires. Engine 4 is the department’s first due engine to structure and motor vehicle fires. Engine 4 is part of the Union County Foam Task Force which responds to major flammable liquid fires within the county.
